Seven Basic Cellphone Care Tips

The mobile phone helps us keep track with each other. If this is such the case, then we should see to it that we treat our cellphones right because it is hard to live in the modern world without your trusty mobile phone.

1. There are times when we are in a hurry or times when our hands are full yet we still force ourselves to grab our phone in order to call or text someone. Because we can barely hold it, we end up dropping it.

This is the basic rule when it comes to mobile phones. Avoid dropping it as much as possible. We all know that the cellphone is composed of tiny and highly sensitive materials which when subjected to high impact can result to some alterations or minute changes in the circuitry.

So the next time, do not force yourself to use your mobile phone especially when you can barely hold it. In addition, always place your cellphone in a safe place to keep it from falling to the floor.

2. All electronic devices should be kept at a safe distance from water. This rule is also applicable to your mobile phone. Your cellular phone may be battery powered but water can still damage it.

So do not dial or use your phone when you have wet hands. Water from your hands can still seep through the keypads and into the insides of your phone. Also, do not use your mobile phone while it is raining. Your cellphone is not waterproof; rain water can still damage it. Lastly, do not put your phone down on wet surfaces like the kitchen sink.

3. If you are using touch screen phones, always make sure that your hands are clean when you use them because oils and dirt can damage the screen. So when you just finished gardening, make sure that you wash your hands because dirt particles stuck on your fingers can scratch the surface. Oil from the food can affect the clarity of the screen and it can attract ants too which is not a good thing because ants are capable of breaking thin electrical wires.

4. When charging your phone, take note of the right amount of power needed. If your phone needs 110 volts plug it to 110 volts; if it needs 220 volts plug it to 220 volts. Do not mix and match the electrical power supply or else you will end up damaging your batteries. In addition, do not overcharge your mobile phone because this practice can certainly shorten your cellphone's battery life.

5. Do not use your mobile phone in areas where there are known to be a lot of pickpockets or thieves. Lost and stolen phones are not included in the warranty. As much as possible, do not use it when you are walking down dark alleys or corners.

6. Avoid leaving your phone where extreme changes in temperature can take place. When your phone is constantly subjected to hot and cold temperatures, the minute circuitry and the computer chip inside your phone can go haywire.

7. When placing your phone inside your pocket, make sure that is spacious enough so as not to squeeze the phone tight which can probably damage the screen. In addition, do not place it in the same pocket together with your car keys or house keys because the keys can end up scratching the surfaces of your phone especially the screen.
